Hotel Interior Designers in Kenya: Selecting for Guest Experience

Choose a hotel interior designer in Kenya with a brief covering guest experience, durability, operations, procurement and phased work.

If you’re commissioning a hotel interior designer in Kenya, plan for housekeeping and repairs with the same care as the guest-facing look.

Describe the guest and the property

Explain the type of property, guest expectations and spaces involved: rooms, reception, dining areas or shared facilities. Share any brand guidance, existing plans and a record of items that must remain. If work is planned while the property stays open, identify the dates and areas where disruption is most difficult.

Review the operational details

Plan for luggage, charging, lighting controls, cleaning, linen storage and replacement of damaged items. Before repeating a room type across the property, ask for a sample room or mock-up so the operator can check clearances, cleaning and maintenance. Discuss spare finishes, procurement lead times and the needs of accessible rooms.

Use the sample room to check actual furniture sizes, housekeeping access, bedside controls and storage capacity. Record the changes before the design is repeated across other rooms.

Ask how the team will deliver

Agree whether the scope includes a sample room, procurement, supplier coordination and site visits. Name who will coordinate the hotel operator and technical consultants, and decide how you will approve substitutions when an item is unavailable.

At handover, request a product and finish schedule, cleaning instructions, supplier contacts and a list of spare items. Give housekeeping and maintenance staff a chance to flag what they will need to keep rooms operating.
