Profile Overview
I am a Kenyan interior designer and design director with over 20 years of experience in interior design, space planning, FF&E, fit-out, and project coordination. I hold a diploma in interior design from Evelyn’s College of Interior Design, awarded in 2003, and have been working with DAC Africa Co. Ltd. since 2014 as director, co-owner, and interior designer. My experience spans hospitality, residential, commercial, corporate, healthcare, and retail environments, including hotels, airport lounges, private residences, hospitals, offices, and branded retail spaces. My areas of expertise include concept development, space planning, material and finish selection, furniture specification, procurement coordination, joinery detailing, and construction oversight. I take a multidisciplinary approach to design, combining creativity, functionality, aesthetics, brand identity, and sustainable design principles to create purposeful and enduring spaces. I value collaboration with clients, consultants, and other industry professionals to develop design solutions that respond to user needs, project objectives, and practical construction requirements. I am passionate about the role of interior design in enhancing how people live, work, and interact with their environments, and I am committed to contributing to the growth, recognition, and professional development of the interior design industry in Kenya.
